My name is Alyssa Castañeda.

I am a digital peasant versatile digital designer with a strong background in UX/UI design, marketing, and communications. My work bridges the worlds of art, design, technology, and strategy, and I am passionate about creating immersive digital experiences that are intuitive, impactful, and accessible to diverse audiences.

Currently, I am serving as a Visual Design Intern in Marketing & Communications for the Energy Department of the City of San José, where I apply my expertise in user experience to develop user-centric solutions that drive community engagement, support sustainable energy initiatives, and enhance public outreach. This role allows me to leverage my design skills and marketing knowledge to craft effective visual strategies that resonate with a broad audience.

With a Master of Science in Human-Computer Interaction from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a B.F.A. in Digital Media Art from San José State University, I bring a unique blend of creative design, user research, and communication expertise to my work. I am committed to using emerging technologies to drive innovation and make a meaningful impact in both the public and private sectors.
